The Red Viper of Dorne, one of my favorite Game of Thrones characters, rendered in Unreal. I started this project as part of a super-informative and inspiring Game Art Institute class taught by Adam Skutt. I've been working on it off and on in my free time since then, and finally managed to put the finishing touches on it in the last month or so.
Modeled in Maya and Zbrush. Clothes in Marvelous Designer then sculpted in Zbrush. Skin textured in Mari including Texturing.xyz maps for pore displacement projection, then a combo of photo and hand painting for the diffuse. Clothes textured in Substance Painter. Hair cards generated with XGen, and hair cards placed with a combination of XGen Interactive Groom and lot of hand tweaking. Huge thanks to Hair Grabber 2, (https://gumroad.com/l/GqVoR) one of the best Maya tools which made hand tweaking the cards so much more pleasant.
